Accident Characteristics by Occurrence
|

The Division collects workers' compensation accident data on an individual claim basis. The Accident Characteristics by Occurrence provides the public with a detailed report of Florida’s workers' compensation claims based on date of accident.
Each download of the report is restricted to only those claims with a date of accident in the calendar year and month within a reporting year as specified by the user. This information relates to data collected on the electronic First Report of Injury or Illness (DWC-1 form).

CONTENT DISCLOSURE STATEMENT:
|
- The online Claims Database contains lost time workers’ compensation claim records, including open and closed status claims, for which a First Report of Injury or Illness (paper or electronic) was filed with the Division where compensation was paid for lost wages.
- Subject to the redaction requirements of public records as outlined in F.S. 119,
the Accident Characteristics by Occurrence data is publicly available; however, it does not specifically provide names and addresses of injured workers or employers.
- Financial and health information is not disclosed pursuant to Sections 440.125 and 626.9651, Florida Statutes.
