Accident Characteristics by Occurrence Page

The Division collects workers' compensation accident data on an individual claim basis. The Accident Characteristics by Occurrence provides the public with a detailed report of Florida’s Workers' Compensation claims based on date of accident.
Each download of the report is restricted to only those claims with a date of accident in the calendar year and month within a reporting year as specified by the user. This information relates to data collected on the DWC-1 form,
also known as the First Report of Injury or Illness (FROI) Form.

CONTENT DISCLOSURE STATEMENT:

- The online Claims Database contains lost time workers’ compensation claim records for which a First Report of Injury or Illness (paper or electronic) was filed with the Division where compensation was paid for lost wages, and includes both open and closed status claims.
- Subject to the redaction requirements of public records as spelled out in F.S. 119,
the Accident Characteristics by Occurrence is publicly available which specifically does not provide names and addresses of injured workers or employers.
- Financial and health information is not disclosed pursuant to Sections 440.125 and 626.9651, Florida Statutes.
